Join artist F. Zeeshan Choudhury to explore the way monster mythologies have reflected anxieties about queerness and disability. We will read/listen to monster stories, and discuss what we can reclaim from them. We will then craft a shrine to our chosen monster, which can include making talismans, short written pieces and collage.

Join researcher Ema Sala to learn about female sailors who lived and worked as men in the 19th century, reading and listening to sea ballads sung about them at the time. We will discuss the way their bodies were portrayed, and then have a go creating our own ballads inspired by their stories. Learn a little about history, have fun and be creative!

Spread the word about our workshops on social media!

Join multilingual writer and artist Khushi Bajaj to learn about the way menstruation has featured in South Asian mythology. We will then reclaim these stories through narrative collages, forming new mythologies around our own experiences. This workshop is aimed at Asian people who menstruate, and who are queer and/or disabled mad, deaf, neurodivergent or chronically ill.

Gayathiri, Disabled Poet of The Year prize winner 2024, leads on a writing and storytelling workshop for disabled/neurodivergent/chronically ill queers. We will read, craft and share poems inspired by the everydayness of our lives. No experience is required!
